Butwhat she doesn't enjoy is being in crowds.... for that's when her power starts to emerge the most. She denies to everyone that she has it... but her empathy is there none the less. She would rather not feel what others feel. What is the point? Why must she feel someone else's pain so keenly? Or feel someone's love for another when her own husband can't seem to even act like he cares most the time.
Alison hopes that Joseph's lack of emotion in their marriage is simply because things are so hard at work... but who is she trying to fool? herself... that's who...

History;; Alison was an orphan... her parents had died in a car wreck when she was three years old. She was sent into DHS and was moved around a lot during her childhood. She lived in many different states over the years and with many foster families and in several shelters. No one even attempted to adopt her. Especially after she started acting a bit... strange.
When Alison was 10 she was riding with her social worker to a new foster home... when a semi-truck pulled out infront of them, causing a huge wreck... when Ali woke the next day in te hospital the nurses were standing over her... and she was feeling... odd... she could emotions that weren't her own... she soon realized that she had been feeling what teh nurses were feeling... and sometimes her own emotions would mirror those around her... making her mood swings drastic. And chasing away any potential adoptors.
In high school she met a guy by the name of Joseph Stewart. She was doing well by this time to supress her ability, almost to a point of it not being there at all! So she was able to keep her Empathy a secret form Joseph. After graduation they married... and she soon had Ariel. They moved to New Orleans where Joseph bought them a house... soon after they had Bridgett... all was going well.. it was fairytale for Alison... but when she discovered that she was pregnant for a thrid time... Joseph seemed to change... he became distant.. and no longer even acted like he cared about Ali and the girls... but no matter how unhappy she was she couldn't leave him... she couldn't raise three children on her own. She'd never worked in her life... and there was no way she could pay for child care.
Ali soon gave birth to yet a third baby girl, Marie.
That was six years ago....
Today Ali is still with Joseph, raising her girls practically by herself, except that Joseph provides the money.
