No New Posts Archaeological Museum of Piraeus

This enjoyable museum boasts a dramatic collection of greater-than-life size bronzes that rival those in the "big" Archaeological Museum of Athens. Since this museum is rarely as crowded, you can take your time appreciating these images. Look at them long enough and you'll swear they are just about to move off of their pedestals. Most of the objects were found in and around Piraeus.

The facade is pleasant, but the sidestreet it's located on has the typical cracked and bumpy sidewalks of the area surrounding the ferry docks. But once inside, there is a friendly and helpful staff and great rooms.
