Volturi
The Volturi were not always the most powerful coven. The Romanians were in power long before the Volturi. They didn't hide the secret that they were vampires. They wanted humans to know.
Once the Volturi gained control they made humans think there wre no vampires in Volterra, Italy. A day was created St. Marcus Day.
Aro, one of the leaders, is power-hungry and will do anything to keep his power. Even if it means killing his only family member to keep it.
Immortal Children
Toddlers changed into vampires. They are a danger to the vampire and human world. The Volturi were forced to step in and destroy them. Not a so easy task when covens are there to fight for their children.
Covens were wiped out by the Volturi because of the danger Immortal Children were. Aro tried to tame them, but failed. They cannot gain control of themselves they are a danger and are not allowed to exist.
Children of the Moon
True Werewolves are changed by a full moon. Caius, one of the Volturi leaders, had them hunt to near extinction. He was nearly killed in a fight with one. He holds a grudge toward them and any creature similar to them.
Werewolves rarely travel in back and only change during a full moon. They are not like shape-shifters and are able to change humans into werewolves with one bite.
Southern War
Benito created the idea of a Newborn Army. Many vampires used this idea to take control of larger cities in the South West of America and northern part of Mexico. They created newborns who had very little control of themselves, but were stronger than mautre vampires for a year.
The Volturi were forced to step in and destroy these armies along with the creators. Jasper Hale was formally apart of Maria's group of newborns. His ability allowed him to stay much longer than a year. He was put in control of training these newborns.
Treaty with the Cullen's
The legend claims that the Quileutes are descended from wolves --- that wolves are our brothers still.
The cold-ones are traditionally the Quileutes enemies. But this pack that came on Quileutes land during Ephraim Black time was different. They didn't hunt the way other of their kind did --- they weren't suppose to be dangerous to the Quileutes. Ephraim Black made a truce with them. If they would promise to stay off Quileutes lands, they wouldn't expose them to the pale-faces.
In need of Marcus, Caius, Romanian Coven, and Cullens
