Tip's was established in 1977 by a group of young music fans who called themselves the "Fabulous Fo'teen". It was named for a song by Henry Roeland Byrd, one of the most revered rhythm and blues musicians in the legacy of New Orleans. That neighborhood juke joint later grew into the enormous music venue it is today, hosting a variety of well-known artists. Tipitina's continues to support its musical roots with a Walk of Fame honoring New Orleans music legends past and present, a recording studio, and its own recording label.

Located just off Bourbon Street, Acme Oyster House is the favorite restaurant of self-proclaimed vampire slayer Tabitha Devereaux. According to Tabitha, Acme has the best oysters in the world. Acme is famous among the locals for its casual dining and plastic tablecloths, the staple of all great seafood restaurants. You might also find Vane and Bride Kattalakis or Kyrian and Amanda Hunter here, as they like to frequent the oyster bar.

At Antoine's you can dine in one of the many historic rooms. There are rooms named after the Antoine's Mardi Gras krewes: Hermes, Proteus, Rex, and the Twelfth Night Revelers. There is the Japanese Room, whose unique Oriental splendor was closed to the public for more than forty years after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. The Mystery Room celebrates the era of Prohibition, a time when the floors were covered with sawdust to soak up any illegal alcohol on the premises in the event of a raid. Antoine's also features a massive and exquisitely well-stocked wine cellar. Antoine's is definitely a treat for any special occasion. Nick Gautier once brought his mother, Cherise, here for her birthday to celebrate... one of the last birthdays they were able to share together before her untimely death.

Established in 1946, Brennan's is famous for the legendary break¬fast and infamous for the Bananas Foster. In the evenings you can experience a lovely French Quarter dinner in one of twelve beautiful dining rooms, or the romantic gaslit courtyard patio. This romantic atmosphere at Brennan's was taken advantage of by Vane Kattalakis, who met Bride McTierney here for their first date. There is always a table reserved for them once a year, on their anniversary.

The Cabildo, the Lousiana State Musuem, is the flagship building of the Louisiana State Museum, and the site of the famous 1803 Louisiana Purchase transfer. It was constructed at the end of the eighteenth century, and was the seat of the Spanish municipal government in New Orleans. The building takes its name from the "Illustrious Cabildo", or city council, who met there.

Built in 1752, the Ursuline Convent is the oldest building in the Mississippi River Valley. When the Americans fought the British at the Battle of New Orleans in 1815, the Mother Superior at the Ursuline Convent vowed that if General Andrew Jackson’s army was victorious, there would be a Mass of thanksgiving sung every year to commemorate the occasion. True to her word, every year on January 8, a Mass of thanksgiving has been offered in the National Shrine of Our Lady of Prompt Succor.

This picturesque Catholic Church, named after Saint Louis, king of France, and situated between the Cabildo and Presbytere buildings, overlooks Jackson Square. It is one of the most photographed landmarks in New Orleans. The first church opened on this site in 1727, but was later destroyed by the Great Fire of 1788. Over the centuries, the church has been restored and rebuilt, weathering hurricanes, fires, and even a bomb that was once set off in the cathedral in 1909.

A trip to New Orleans is not complete without a stop at the world-famous Café Du Monde, where Dark-Hunters everywhere are sure to stop in for a chicory coffee (sometimes au lait) and beignets. The original coffee stand was established in the French Market in 1862. Café Du Monde is located directly across from where Selena Laurens had her tarot card stand, before Ash bought her the building where Madame Selene currently runs her operations.

Café Pontalba features traditional Cajun and Creole food. (Be sure to try the jambalaya fries!) Café Pontalba's casual atmosphere is frequented by both tourists and locals alike. It is open daily for lunch and dinner, and features breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays.

Loyola University is located fifteen minutes from downtown New Orleans and the French Quarter. Dr. Julian Alexander teaches an Ancient Civilizations class here, and also at Tulane University. He's a fantastic speaker and easy on the eyes, but boy, is he tough. Don't think you're getting off easy by taking his class.

A trip to New Orleans is not complete for any Dark-Hunter if it does not include a visit to Liza's little shop. The former Squire is certainly not all sugar and spice and everything nice. If she invites you into the backroom, consider yourself fortunate (unless Ash happens to be there playing with his goddaughter). A treasure trove of wonders awaits you there... an armory the likes of which you have never seen before and, I daresay, never will again.

Spice up your life with a visit to Tabitha Devereaux's famous adult shop in the French Quarter. Come with an open mind—just like Tabitha, some things in her shop are not for the faint of heart.

Owned by Bride McTierney (now Kattalakis), this one-of-a-kind vintage clothing store caters to women of all shapes and sizes in search of something unique to their tastes. Looking for the perfect gift? Be sure to check out Lilac and Lace's fantastic array of custom and costume jewelry, shoes, and accessories.

The famed biker bar where the Peltier clan hangs out.

One of the New Orleans nightspots frequented by Acheron and Simi, the Dungeon has its own history of vengeance and retribution. It is broken up into three main areas: the Main Chamber Bar, the Dance Floor and Sound Bar, and the Venus Bar. Indulge yourself in drinks such as Witch's Brew or Dragon's Blood, or participate in the tattoo contest. There is never any live music, only DJs, and it's never Top 40s. House rules. This is a fave spot of Acheron's whenever he's in town.

This happening club is run by the Runningwolf family, and frequented by the locals. Daimons are very much not welcome here.

While not located in Twin Cities, it is only a short drive out of town. This mall is great for savings on clothes, and good place for Daimons to hang out considering all the woman who would be hanging around.

This is a horse track and Card Club. It is good for Dark-Hunter's who get bored because they offer twilight races during the summer on Thursday and Friday. Sundown would also enjoy it here because there is a Card Club, or Poker Hall located in Canterbury Park as well.

Four theatres under one roof presenting lavish musicals and Broadway comedies. Delightful dining in an elegant setting. Good place to go for a formal meeting or to watch a good production.

Africa returns to Minnesota! Giraffes, zebras, antelopes, wildebeests, and ostriches roam a six-acre exhibit transporting guests to an African savanna. Located in Apple Valley, just minutes south Minneapolis, Minnesota Zoo brings education and entertainment to life. Located on 500 rolling wooded acres, the Zoo is home to a lush tropical forest and aviary, marine center, boreal forest, and family farm. Featuring more than 2,000 exotic animals from around the world.

The stainless steel structure rises 630 feet high from a 60-foot foundation and spans 630 feet at ground level.

It stands on a tiny plot on the downtown riverfront near the south leg of the Gateway Arch. The original log chapel was dedicated over 200 years ago in 1770. In 1961, the most important honor ever afforded any American church was handed down by His Holiness, the late Pope John XXIII, who decreed Basilican status upon the church. An intensive rehabilitation program on the appearance of the Old Cathedral was completed in 1963. Visitors can see the tomb of Bishop Joseph Rosati, builder of the present Old Cathedral building, paintings dating back to the late 1700's

A massive, Romanesque-style building which was once the largest and busiest railroad terminal in the world. In 1976, the Saint Louis Union Station was designated a National Historic Landmark.

This public park is widely used for recreation with bicycle paths, baseball diamonds and lawn tennis courts. An expanded lake provided park goers with an opportunity for boating in the summer and skating in the winter. A good place for Daimons to catch prey and Dark-Hunters to catch Daimons.

See more than 80 works of contemporary sculpture within a 105-acre natural landscape that is free and open to the public year round. The Park hosts several exhibitions and a multitude of cultural events each year.

Built as the Fine Arts Palace of the 1904 World's Fair and one of the nation's leading comprehensive art museums. Collections include works of art of exceptional quality from virtually every culture and time period. Highlights include free admission to special exhibitions on Fri. and programs that range from films to performances.

The Parthenon is the remains of a temple to the Greek goddess Athena, the patron goddess of the ancient City of Athens. The Parthenon is a temple located on the Acropolis. Work on the building began in 447 BCE and continued until 438 BCE; some of the decorations were completed later. It was built over the site of an earlier temple which is sometimes called the Pre-Parthenon. Many treasures would have been displayed in the building, but the glory of the Parthenon was the gigantic statue of Athena designed by Phidias and made out of chryselephantine (elephant ivory) and gold.

The flagship museum of Greece, the National Archaeological Museum of Greece in Athens' extensive collection will absorb as much viewing time as you can give it. Museum lovers may never want to leave its extensive collection of Greek art. Added bonus: a newly-reopened collection of Egyptian art and artifacts. Don't miss the Museum's statue of a smiling Aphrodite preparing to slap a satyr with her sandal; the huge, enigmatically-smiling kouros statues, male Mona Lisas of their time; the clean clear lines of early Cycladic artifacts; the large, rich gold masks and ornaments from Mycenae.

The Greeks have always watched the sea, for the return of loved ones, for the safe delivery of goods, for news of war. Maybe that's why the Temple of Poseidon, with its magnificent view of the Aegean, seems to still fulfill the role of seawatcher from the high promontory. If you are fortunate enough to find yourself among them, also be intent on watching your step on the alternately rough or slippery rocks, and if you are travelling with young ones, people prone to vertigo, or merely the inherently clumsy please be aware that there are no guard rails, chains, or anything similar protecting you or your loved ones from a quick plunge into air, water, and rocks. Add to this a strong, frisky breeze - bring jackets even if you've been sweltering in Athens - and, perhaps, the fact that Poseidon also rules over earthquakes, and you have cause for caution.

Piraeus has been the Port of Athens for more than 2500 years, feeding the capital city with ships filled with traders, goods, pilgrims, and now, tourists. The Academy Award-winning Melina Mercouri film "Never on Sunday" was shot in Piraeus. It is the site of the University of Piraeus which features studies in maritime history among other subjects.

This is one attraction that gets skipped, partly because it is readily confused with the Roman Agora and while you'd be falling over yourself to visit a Roman agora in Italy, well, this is Greece. But this spot offers an easy hour's wandering, with the almost-perfect temple of Hephaestus, a rebuilt colonnade housing the museum, and many minor monuments. A multiple-site combo ticket makes it a particularly good bargain to combine a visit here with the Acropolis and other nearby sites.

The Thissio area is much more accessible now due to its convenient Athens Metro stop. The municipality of Athens often hosts concerts here. It's not quite as touristy as the Plaka itself, and shop and restaurant prices are a bit lower.

There's no end of places to eat, but consider grabbing a "Quick Pita" and finding a spot on one of the benches in the public squares. Great people watching - but grab plenty of napkins as that tzatziki sauce can be messy.

The heart of Psirri is Plateia Iroon, and any exploration of the area should include it. It's surrounded by interesting shops, unusual restaurants, and small churches. At night, Psirri offers a lively music scene - right now The House of Art and Pinakothiki are popular. But be aware - local residents bemoan the loss of the traditional residential neighborhood feeling, especially at night.

The White Tower once stood with many others, surrounding the medieval city, until the Ottoman Turks destroyed all but two in 1866. Constructed in the 15th century this tower served as a defensive bulwark, an infamous prison, a place of execution, and now is home to a wonderful collection of sculptures, frescoes, and other interesting artefacts from 300 to 1400 AD portraying the amazing history and culture of the city. The White Tower, once known as the Bloody Tower, has become the city's most famous landmark.

With a wonderful collection of artifacts from Neolithic times and amazing sculptures from the Archaic to the Late Roman period, this museum is a house of treasures. There are many thematic units that are very significant, and which provide a thorough and unforgettable exhibition of the history of Thessaloniki and the surrounding areas.

Containing the finest collection of Byzantine art in Greece, this museum focuses on preserving, researching, and studying the remains of the Byzantine civilization. The treasures housed in this fine museum include priceless icons, frescoes, sculpted reliefs, mosaics, jewellery, manuscripts, and pottery.

To celebrate Galerius' victory over the Persians in 297 AD, this archway was built in 305 AD and reliefs were sculpted onto the surfaces of the arch depicting scenes from the battle.

Goddess of love, lust, beauty, wife of Hephaestus. Ares is her lover. Eros is her son. Known as the most beautiful of the Greek goddesses. Her symbols are the scepter, myrtle, and dove.

God of music, prophecies, poetry, and archery. Also said to be the god of light and truth. Is associated with the sun. Also referred to as the most beautiful of the gods. He is Artemis's twin brother, and son of Zeus. His symbols are the bow, lyre, and laurel.

God of war, murder and bloodshed. Brother to Athena, and is the son of Zeus. Has an affair with Aphrodite. His symbols are vultures, dogs, boars, and a spear.

Goddess of the hunt and wild things, and the moon. Protector of the dewy young. She became associated with the moon. Apollo is her twin brother. Artemis is a virgin goddess. Her symbols are the bow, dogs, and deer.

Goddess of wisdom, warfare, handicrafts and reason. Sister of Ares, and is the daughter of Zeus. Sprung from Zeus's head in full body armor. She is the wisest of the gods. God of fire and the forge (god of fire and smiths) with very weak legs. He was thrown off Mount Olympus as a baby by his mother and in some stories his father. He makes armor for the gods and other heroes like Achilles. Son of Hera and Zeus is his father in some accounts. Married to Aphrodite, but she does not love him because he is deformed and, as a result, is cheating on him with Ares. He had a daughter named Pandora. His symbols are an axe, a hammer and a flame.

Acheron was known as the river of pain, and was one of the five rivers of the Greek underworld. The newly-dead would be ferried across the Acheron by Charon in order to enter the Underworld.

This is Hades Throne room. Hades sits on a throne made of ebony, and carries a scepter. He also has a helmet, given to him by the Cyclopes, which can make him invisible. Hades rules the dead, assisted by various (demonic) helpers, such as Thanatos and Hypnos, the ferryman Charon, and the hound Cerberus.

The Elysian Plains was the resting place for the 'good' souls. The equivalent of heaven.

A deep, gloomy place, a pit, or an abyss used as a dungeon of torment and suffering that resides beneath the underworld. As a place of punishment, it can be considered a hell. This is the place where Cronus and the Titans are imprisoned.
